Holiday Pain?

The Perfect Getaway

It is a known fact that in the run up to the annual summer holiday, there are higher incidences of back pain. Why? Simply because of all the extra things you may have to get done before you go! Things like extra laundry, packing, sun creams, children’s items, getting the house tidy for when you get back etc. This all leads to extra work which increases the chance of a back pain as you get more tired – and all that even before you getaway….

Here’s the Plan!

Make a “To Do” list. Make a list for each person travelling and don’t forget a special list for the Pharmacy Kit (first aid kit, sun cream, diahorea pills, toiletries etc.). That way you wont forget anything + you can base your next holiday on the same list.  Store this list on your PC – we suggest in a calendar, dated for your next vacation date (or in your suitcase).   Next step: pack your cases the weekend before your travel. First lay out everything in piles (and check against the list); then when you are sure start packing.   If needed do ask a family member for help, either to check after you or to help with the running around. Above all, make sure your Packing Plan is up in the Kitchen for everyone to follow. Everything is in the planning – so don’t forget to arrange the car parking at the airport or the much maligned question “Have you packed the Passport & Tickets” !

Final tip – if you suffer from back pain remember to pack painkillers, hot/cold packs and our telephone number.
